End Table Ideas & Inspiration

What is an end table?

An end table is a small, functional piece of furniture typically placed beside a sofa, chair, or bed to provide a convenient surface for everyday essentials. Unlike a drink table, which is more compact and designed primarily for holding beverages, an end table usually offers more surface space, making it ideal for lamps, books, decorative items, or even small storage solutions like drawers or shelves.

End tables are incredibly dynamic and can be used in many creative ways. They can be used between chairs in a living room, besides a bed in a bedroom, or next to a sofa as a small coffee and book holder.

What is the best material for an end tables?

There is no best material for end tables. It's totally dependent on what interior design style you are looking to curate. If you are decorating a coastal decor home then using rattan or white marble might be a good fit. If you are decorating a farmhouse style living room you may want to consider a natural wood or a white colored wood. Industrial style living rooms often leverage a combination of metal and wood to create the right aesthetic. Whether crafted from wood, metal, glass, or stone, it's important to ensure it's a durable and long-lasting table.
